What HoneyHQ collects, and what it does with it.
What is collected
HoneyHQ has no accounts, no user-submitted content and no advertising. The single third-party service in use is Google Analytics 4, which records which pages and tools are used. It is configured to store nothing on your device and to receive nothing that identifies you.
How analytics is configured, specifically
Two of Google Analytics’ default behaviours are switched off, because leaving them on would contradict what this page says.
- No storage. The tag runs with Google Consent Mode set to deny every storage category, and with client storage disabled. No cookies are set and no visitor identifier is created, which means no returning-visitor tracking and no profile across sessions or sites.
- No URLs and no query strings. By default the tag reports the full address of every page, which on this site would include everything typed into a tool — a honey filter, a substitution amount, a plant search. Automatic page views are therefore disabled and replaced with our own, which report only a section name such as
honeyorplants. Query strings never leave your browser.
Advertising signals, ad personalisation and Google Signals are all disabled, and no advertising domain is permitted to load by the site’s content security policy.
What an event can contain
Everything reportable is a fixed vocabulary defined in the code: a section name, a catalogue entry’s identifier, a tool name, and a coarse band for how many results a tool returned. There is no field that can carry free text, and a value outside the vocabulary is discarded before it is sent rather than trusted. This is enforced by automated tests, not by convention.

What the tools do with your input
Every tool on this site is a plain form that puts its state in the URL and renders the result on the server. Nothing is stored, nothing is logged against you, and nothing about what you entered is sent anywhere else. Closing the page ends it.

Source links point to external sites, which have their own privacy practices. They open in a new tab and carry no referrer beyond the origin.
