Definition
Aethina tumida larvae tunnel through comb, spoiling honey and causing it to ferment and run. Native to sub-Saharan Africa, where African honey bees manage it, and considerably more damaging in colonies of European stock. Now established across the Americas, Australia and parts of Europe.
