Pollinator dependence
How much a crop's yield falls without animal pollination.

Definition
Ranges from zero for wind-pollinated cereals to essentially total for crops such as squash, where every fruit requires pollen moved between separate male and female flowers. Most crops sit between: apple, coffee and shea all set without pollinators and yield substantially more with them, which is where the economic argument for pollinator habitat lives.
