The study of pollen in honey, used to identify floral and geographic origin.

Definition
Pollen grains carried into honey incidentally can be identified microscopically to genus or species, giving a spectrum that indicates what the bees worked and, by the species present, roughly where. It is the standard method for verifying a monofloral claim, and it is what ultrafiltration destroys.
