Urban honey is not systematically contaminated with heavy metals at levels of concern.

Studies in several European and North American cities have measured trace metals in urban honey and generally found levels comparable to rural honey and well below regulatory limits. Honey bees filter a great deal, and nectar is not a strong accumulator. The finding is consistent but the studies are individually small and city-specific, which is why this sits below the top tier.
